The function of each part of the pure water machine and the solution to common faults

The functions of each part of the pure water machine:

  1. Low pressure switch (normally open) for water shortage protection of the whole machine. When the tap water pressure reaches the set value, the low pressure switch is closed and the water making circuit is connected; when there is no tap water or the pretreatment filter element is blocked, the low pressure switch is disconnected to cut off the water making circuit to protect the pump from idling.
  2. The high pressure switch (normally closed) senses the pressure of the water storage tank and is used for automatic on and off. When the pressure of the pressure tank reaches the set value (about 0.25MPa, at this time the pressure tank is full of water), the high pressure switch is disconnected, the water making circuit is cut off, and the whole machine stops making water; when the pressure of the pressure tank drops to the set value (< 0.2MPa, the water in the pressure tank is shallow at this time), the high pressure switch is closed, and the whole machine resumes water production.
  3. The booster pump is used to pressurize the tap water and provide the working pressure required by the RO membrane.
  4. Wastewater ratio Adjust the ratio of pure wastewater and establish the working pressure of RO membrane.
  5. Water inlet solenoid valve When the whole machine stops working, the waterway is cut off, a to prevent the subsequent filter element from continuing to be affected by water pressure; b to prevent the tap water from passing through the RO membrane waste water channel to cause the continuous flow of waste water, and c to reduce the life of the filter element.
  6. Flushing solenoid valve Provide a channel for the rapid flow of RO membrane wastewater, improve the flow speed of the water on the surface of the RO membrane, and achieve the effect of flushing the RO membrane.
  7. The pressure barrel is used to store pure water, to alleviate the contradiction between the small amount of water produced by the RO membrane per unit time and the large amount of water demanded by the user per unit time.
  8. Water inlet small ball valve It is used to cut off the water circuit of the whole machine when installing and replacing the filter element.
  9. Pressure barrel small ball valve Used to cut off the waterway of the pressure barrel when debugging and repairing the machine and replacing the rear activated carbon filter element.
  10. Check valve Check valve. When the whole machine stops water production, it prevents the pure water in the pressure tank from passing through the RO membrane waste water channel, resulting in a continuous flow of waste water, b RO membrane damage due to back pressure, and C filter element life is reduced.
  11. Transformer provides power to the whole machine (DC 24V)
    1. Low pressure switch – when the water pump is emptied due to the water cut off, the water pressure is too low (≤0.07MPa), the PPF filter element is blocked, etc., the low pressure switch (normally open contact) provides an electrical signal to the water system, and the machine alarms and Stop making water.​
    2. High pressure switch – When the pressure storage tank is full of water and the water pressure in the storage tank reaches 0.3MPa, the high pressure switch (normally closed contact) will cut off the system power and stop water production under the action of water pressure.​
    3. Flushing solenoid valve – automatically opens every time the water production system starts to produce water, allowing water to quickly flow over the surface of the RO membrane, flushing the surface of the RO membrane, avoiding blockage of the RO membrane and prolonging the life of the RO membrane.​Computer control panel Displays the working state of the whole machine; automatically flushes the RO membrane according to the working state of the whole machine; displays the actual use time of the filter element, reminding the user to replace the filter element in time (some models have this function); real-time monitoring of the conductivity of pure water (Some models have this function).
    4. Water inlet solenoid valve – when the system stops producing water, the water source of the system is cut off to prevent the water from slowly passing through the RO membrane under the action of the tap water pressure, causing the machine to continuously flow thick water.​
    5. Manual flushing needle valve (for 100G, 200G, 400G ordinary pure water) – when the machine needs to be flushed, open the flushing needle valve to flush the RO membrane, and each flushing time is about 3-5 minutes.
    6. Waste water proportional device (combination valve) – to ensure a constant working pressure for the RO system, and play the role of throttling and pressure limiting.
    7. High pressure pump——Provides reverse osmosis working pressure for RO system (0.5-0.8MPa)
    8. Microcomputer box – the automatic control system of the RO machine, which plays the role of automatic switching of each work program

Common fault solutions of pure water machine:

  1. The high-pressure pump does not start and cannot make water
    Check whether there is a power failure and whether the plug is plugged in properly
    Check whether the low-voltage switch is out of order and cannot be connected to the power
    Check whether the high pressure switch or water level controller fails and cannot be reset
    Check whether the transformer and fuse are burnt
  2. The high-pressure pump works normally but cannot make water
    Loss of pressure in high pressure pump
    The pre-filter is blocked (there is no pure water or waste water or the waste water is small)
    The check valve is blocked (with waste water, no pure water)
    The solenoid valve fails and cannot be opened effectively.
    Is the RO membrane blocked?
  3. The high-pressure pump does not stop
    The pressure of the high-pressure pump is insufficient and cannot reach the set pressure
    The check valve is blocked, and pure water does not come out (there is waste water but no pure water)
    The high-voltage switch fails and cannot take off
    The solenoid valve fails and cannot be opened effectively
  4. The high-pressure pump stops but the waste water does not stop
    The solenoid valve fails and the water cannot be effectively cut off
    (Inspection method: close the pressure tank ball valve, if there is still waste water, it can be concluded that the solenoid valve is out of order)
    There is another situation, close the water inlet solenoid valve and then open it. If the machine is normal, it is judged that the water pressure is too high, causing the solenoid valve to be unable to close flexibly, then consider adjusting the water inlet valve to reduce the water pressure)
    Check valve pressure relief, (wastewater is very small) (check method: close the water inlet solenoid valve, if there is still waste water, it can be concluded that the check valve pressure relief)
  5. The machine jumps repeatedly after the water is full
    Insufficient raw water pressure
    Check valve pressure relief
    High voltage switch failure
    The system has a pressure relief phenomenon
  6. The pressure tank is full but pure water cannot flow out
    Relief from pressure barrel
    Rear activated carbon plugging
    Whether the pressure barrel ball valve is damaged
  7. Insufficient pure water flow
    The pre-filter is blocked
    Insufficient high pressure pump pressure
    RO membrane clogging
    The waste water ratio is out of balance or the flush switch is not closed tightly
  8. The ratio of pure water and wastewater is seriously out of balance
    Check the flush solenoid valve for damage
    Check whether the waste water scaler is blocked or too conductive
    Check if the RO membrane is blocked or the removal rate is severely reduced
  9. the machine keeps flushing:
    The waste water ratio fails or the flush is not tight at the beginning
  10. Loud noise
    Check whether the raw water pipeline is cut off, which causes the booster pump to run idly, resulting in the high noise of the pure water machine
    Check whether the raw water is normal, if it is water supply without a tower, whether there is gas in the water
    Check whether the booster pump is faulty, the vibration is too large, there is friction sound, etc.
    Check whether the water purifier is placed firmly
    Check if the water pipe is too long, the vibration of the pump makes the water pipe hit the casing
    Check if the hot water is boiling causing too much noise
    Check if the compressor is normal
  11. water leakage
    Check the water circuit of the water purifier and find the leaking point
