Higher TDS (including but not limited to chloride, magnesium, sodium, calcium, potassium, sulfate, etc.) or hard water can cause spots and etching on automotive paint and windows. TDS or high hardness also hinders the work of soap cleaning vehicles. Hard water reacts with soap, forms sticky scum, and reduces the sudsing ability of the soap. Hardness in water is caused by inorganic salts (mainly calcium and magnesium) and is highly undesirable for any type of washing.
Our reverse osmosis system is designed to produce high-quality, on-demand flushing water on-site and is ready for use during car washing. The reverse osmosis process can usually purify ordinary tap water by reducing the TDS (mineral spots) of the tap water by 97% to 99%. When the rinse water dries, it will evaporate into the atmosphere-anything that does not leave water on the surface will form spots, which will damage the surface treatment of paint, glass, metal, etc. Dust-free water treated by a water filtration system has low anion content and low cation content. Mineral content is measured in the form of total dissolved solids (TDS). Water with a TDS content of fewer than 20 parts per million (PPM) usually produces speck-free water. Since calcium and magnesium are considered large ions, they can be easily eliminated by reverse osmosis. The final rinse water has no hardness or minerals and will produce spot-free water and meet customer requirements.
