1. Hardness

Refers to the total amount of calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese, strontium and other ions in the water. Mainly the sum of calcium and magnesium.

2. pH

It is the negative logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration per liter of water, which can be measured with a pH meter or pH test paper.

3. TDS

An indicator of the total dissolved solids in water, commonly used unit: mg / l.
TDS is commonly used to approximate the salt content in water.

4. Conductivity (k)

A variety of salts are dissolved in the water, so that it can conduct electricity, so the conductivity of ions in water can be used to determine the amount of salt in the water. The conductivity can be determined quickly and easily with the instrument.
Common units: μs / cm
Resistivity is the inverse of conductivity
Common units: KΩcm
The approximate relationship between conductivity and TDS can be converted with the following formula: conductivity (μs / cm) × 70 = TDS (mg / l)

5. Desalination rate

The rate of salt removal. unit:%
Calculation formula: (Inlet water conductivity-pure water conductivity) / Inlet water conductivity × 100%

8. Salt content

It is used to indicate the total amount of cations and anions contained (dissolved) in water.
Common unit of measurement: mg / l-mg of salt contained in each liter of water (also expressed in ppm)
