Instruction Manual for Purified Water Production Equipment

I. Overview

The pure water production equipment adopts advanced single-stage low-pressure reverse osmosis technology to purify tap water. Combined with a well-designed filtration and adsorption system, it can effectively remove all kinds of bacteria, residues, heavy metal ions and other substances that are harmful to health in the water, and can also remove carcinogenic pathogens such as chloroform and fluorine that cannot be removed by conventional means.

The pure water production equipment integrates the perfect and formal drinking pure water production process into one, and the cabinet-type open design is easy to maintain. And the reverse osmosis program controller is used to control the automatic operation of the system. The operation process and faults are displayed on the panel, and the operation is simple. The switching system can be completed with only one switch, which greatly improves the operating stability of the system. It can be used as the core equipment of water purification houses in communities, industrial areas, oil fields, etc., and can also be used as water treatment equipment in food, beverage, chemical, hospital, electronics and other industries.

2. Main parameters

The working cycle of pure water production equipment

  1. Multi-media filter
    A total of 8 hours of work, 20 minutes of backwashing.
    After accumulative work of 2900 hours, the quartz sand filter material should be replaced.
  2. Activated carbon adsorption filter:
    When the residual chlorine content at the outlet is greater than 0.1mg/L, the activated carbon filter material should be replaced. Under normal circumstances, the activated carbon filter material should be replaced after accumulative operation of 720 hours.
  3. Security filter
    Under normal circumstances, the fine filter element should be replaced after a total of 720 hours of operation. When the fine filter is working, the outlet pressure is less than 0.04Mpa and the panel water shortage indicator light is on, the fine filter element should also be replaced
  4. Purified water equipment filter
    The accumulated working hours are 480 hours, and the RO membrane should be cleaned once with drugs.
    The RO membrane should be replaced after accumulative working hours of 2900 hours.
    Special Note: For your safety, be sure to ground the machine ground wire reliably.

3. Operation instructions for the preprocessor of pure water equipment

  1. Operating instructions for the multi-media filter:
    A. Put the multi-media filter in a suitable place, remove the top control head of the filter, fill the coarse and fine quartz sand in the order from bottom to top, and tighten the top control head.
    B. Connect the water source and power supply.
    C. Carry out backwashing and positive washing respectively on the filter material in the multi-media filter according to the backwashing and positive washing on the control head, until the water out of the filter is clarified.
    D. Quartz sand must be installed naked to ensure the filtering effect. (Note that it should not be bagged)
  2. The operating instructions of the activated carbon adsorption filter:
    A. The activated carbon adsorption filter is placed in a suitable place, remove the top control head of the filter, fill the bottom with coarse quartz sand in the order from bottom to top, then fill the activated carbon, and tighten the top control head.
    B. Connect the water source and power supply.
    C. Control the backwashing and forward washing on the control head to carry out backwashing and forward washing respectively on the filter material in the activated carbon adsorption filter, until the effluent water from the filter is clarified.
    D. Activated carbon must be naked to ensure the filtering effect. (Note that it should not be bagged)

4. Installation and debugging steps

  1. Place the host, pre-filter and adsorption filter close to the water source and power supply.
  2. Fill quartz sand and activated carbon.
  3. Connect the water circuit: the inlet of the raw water booster pump is connected to the water source, the outlet of the raw water booster pump is connected to the inlet of the pre-filter, and the pre-filter, adsorption filter, and the drain outlet of the main engine are connected to the sewer.
  4. Circuit: First, ground the grounding wire reliably, and then connect the random power wire to the room electric control box.
  5. Enter the water source and power supply, and follow the steps in accordance with the requirements of the “Pretreatment Operation Instructions”, and the pretreatment debugging operation is completed.
  6. When using the machine for the first time, first turn the flush switch to the automatic position; the raw water booster pump switch is set to the automatic position. Connect the water source and power supply, and when the pressure of the multi-stage pump port reaches the set value of the pressure controller, the booster pump starts to work. Turn the flush switch to the manual position and continue flushing the reverse osmosis membrane for 30 minutes. When flushing, do not adjust the pressure regulating valve.
  7. For water making operation, turn the raw water booster pump switch and flushing switch on the operation panel to the automatic position. Turn on the stop switch, connect the water source and power supply, and when the water pressure reaches the set value of the pressure controller, the equipment will automatically start to work.
    Notice:
    1. If you choose a motor with AC380V voltage, you must pay attention to the rotation direction of the motor and the rotation direction marked on the pump, otherwise the pump will be damaged.
    2. When the water source is short of water or the pressure is too low, the machine will automatically shut down, and the water source pressure will be automatically turned on.
    3. Automatic flushing: The equipment will automatically flush the primary membrane for 5 minutes after working continuously for two hours. When flushing the membrane, the system pressure will drop. Please do not adjust the regulating valve.
    4. During normal water production, the pressure of the membrane system should be between 1.0-1.3Mpa (adjusted by the regulating valve).
    5. The conductivity value displayed by the conductivity indicator is for reference.
    Notes in operation:
    1. The water output of this machine is above 2000L/H when the water temperature is 25°C. When the water temperature rises or falls by 1°C, the water output will increase or decrease by about 3%, which is determined by the characteristics of the RO membrane.
    2. The residual chlorine content of the water entering the RO membrane should be strictly controlled to be below 0.1PPm. The method is: connect the water to the sampling port of the adsorption filter, and use the residual chlorine measuring agent to detect it. If it exceeds the standard, the activated carbon filter material should be replaced.
    3. If the water intake is insufficient or the pressure is too low, the water shortage and pressure system of the machine will automatically stop the equipment.
    4. When the machine is used for the first time, the conductivity of the effluent will be high due to the presence of preservatives in the RO membrane. After washing for 1-2 hours and making water normally for a period of time, the conductivity of the effluent will be significantly reduced.

5. maintenance

  • Replace the activated carbon in the adsorption filter
    1. Residual chlorine will decompose the RO membrane and shorten the life of the RO membrane. The residual chlorine content should be detected once a week.
    2. When the residual chlorine content exceeds 0.1PPm, the activated carbon filter material should be replaced.
  • Replace the fine filter element in the security filter
    1. There are 5 5um×20 inch fine filter elements in the filter to effectively block the activated carbon particles and ensure the safety of the RO membrane and the pump. When it is blocked, it should be replaced.
    2. When replacing, open the top cover of the security filter, take out the old filter element, and tighten the top cover after replacing the new filter element.

5. maintenance

When the impurity ions such as Na+ and CI- in the influent are adsorbed on the corresponding ion exchange resin, these impurity ions will undergo the same ion exchange reaction as in the ordinary mixed bed, and correspondingly replace H+ and OH-. Once the impurity ions in the ion exchange resin are also added to the migration of H+ and OH- towards the exchange membrane, these ions will continuously pass through the resin until they pass through the exchange membrane and enter the concentrated water chamber. These impurity ions cannot migrate further towards the direction of the corresponding electrode due to the blocking effect of the adjacent compartment exchange membrane, so the impurity ions can be concentrated in the concentrated water chamber, and then the concentrated water containing impurity ions can be discharged from the membrane stack.

6. Drug cleaning of reverse osmosis membrane

After the machine is used for a period of time, due to the contamination of the RO membrane surface by the hardness ions, bacteria, organic colloids and other substances in the water, coupled with the unique concentration polarization phenomenon of the RO membrane itself, the scale pollution on the RO membrane surface will cause the water volume to drop or decrease. The salt rejection rate is lower than the rated value. When the normal working performance of the RO membrane cannot be restored by the daily physical flushing method alone, chemical cleaning of the primary RO membrane is required.
Precautions:
The removal of pollutants on RO membranes can be achieved by chemical and physical cleaning, and sometimes by changing operating conditions. As a general principle, cleaning should be performed when one of the following conditions occurs.
1. Under normal pressure, the yield of pure water is reduced to 10%-15% of the normal value.
2. In order to maintain normal product water flow, the temperature-corrected feed water pressure is increased by 10%-15%.
3. The water quality of the product is reduced by 10%-15% or the salt permeability is increased by 10%-15%.
4. Increase the use pressure by 10%-15%.
5. The pressure difference between each stage of RO increases obviously.

7. Analysis and elimination of general faults

Precautions for installation of the whole machine:

  1. The equipment installation site should be flat, clean and tidy, close to the power supply and water source.
  2. Do not get close to the fire source and any heating element.
  3. Do not install the equipment outdoors in the northern region to prevent the inside of the equipment from freezing and damaging the instrument and filter elements.
  4. The installation location of the equipment should be able to facilitate drainage, so that the drainage pipes of the equipment can be kept smooth.
  5. When the water source pressure is less than 0.12Mpa. When the flow rate is less than 6T/H, the first-stage pump start-stop-start phenomenon will occur repeatedly during the operation of the machine. At this time, the machine should be stopped to prevent burning of the motor. In areas with insufficient water pressure and flow, please add a raw water tank in front of the equipment.
  6. The working pressure of the water pump used in the system is guaranteed to be 1.0-1.3Mpa, and the working pressure of the water pump used by the secondary membrane is guaranteed to be 1.0-1.3Mpa, to ensure that the water pump works within its rated head range.
