Guidelines for the use of softened water equipment

The softened water equipment has high efficiency and low energy consumption, and the operating cost is economical. Due to the reasonable overall design of the softener, the exchange capacity of the resin can be fully exerted. The equipment adopts the jet type salt suction instead of the salt pump, which reduces the energy consumption. The correct use of softened water equipment can ensure long-term and efficient operation of the softened water equipment.

The softening water equipment can be widely used in softening the make-up water of steam boilers, hot water boilers, exchangers, evaporative condensers, air conditioners, direct combustion engines and other systems. It can also be used for the treatment of domestic water such as hotels, restaurants, office buildings, apartments, and households, and for the treatment of softened water in food, beverage, winemaking, laundry, printing and dyeing, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries. So how to use softened water?

  1. The raw water quality conditions should meet the requirements of general sodium ion exchange water treatment equipment.
  2. The equipment is installed indoors, in order to prevent the resin from freezing, parts rusting, and electrical short-circuit failure, the ambient temperature should be above zero, and there should be no steam in a dry and clean place.
  3.  After the equipment is in place, all the fixing bolts, especially the fixing motor bolts, the wiring bolts inside and outside the switchboard, and the limit switch bolts should be re-tightened, and the switchboard shell should be grounded.
  4. The upper and lower bolts of the upper lever fixing block of the rotary valve cannot be loosened, and the exchange column cannot be hit.
  5.  The time relay should not be adjusted during work. When repairing and scrubbing equipment, the power supply must be cut off, and water should be prevented from entering the motor, switchboard and limit switch.
  6. During operation, the water supply and power supply are at the same time, and when the operation is stopped, the water and electricity are also turned off.
  7. Always keep the equipment clean, do not lack oil in the refueling part, and be careful not to touch the pulley during operation to avoid accidents.
  8. If the equipment is out of use for more than half a month, the nylon pipe for draining wastewater is raised to the exchange column, so that it does not drain. When not in use for a long time, the remaining salt solution in the salt tank and valve body should be cleaned. And add lubricating oil to the rotary valve and each transmission part. It is strictly forbidden to induce the equipment. If the machine is shut down for more than half a month in summer and mildew season, the machine should be started for one or two hours to prevent the microorganisms in the resin tank from becoming mildewed. When restarting, first turn the pulley by hand to make the rotary valve turn several times, then power on and put the drain pipe back to its original position.
  9. The equipment is repaired once a year. The upper and lower bottom plates of the salt tank should be painted for protection. The upper flange of the exchange column should be uncovered to check the height of the resin layer. The resin filling rate of this equipment (the height of the resin layer/the height of the exchange column × %) is 85% -90%, if it is not enough, it should be added. Others should be overhauled according to the situation.
  10. The switchboard and the equipment body have been installed together. If the user unit has the conditions, the switchboard and the main body can be separated. The power distribution board should be hung in a fixed place, but the wiring number should not be wrongly connected.
  11. When the user shuts down each time, he cannot shut down in a short period of time, and should stop the water at the same time.
  12. For water quality with a large amount of sediment, it should be precipitated before softening before entering the machine.

Notes on installation of softened water equipment:

  1. The device must be placed indoors to prevent freezing and sun protection, and must prevent impact when moving.
  2. During installation, a clearance of 0.5 meters should be left around for easy maintenance.
  3. The inlet water pressure is required to be between 0.2-0.6MPa. If the requirements are not met, additional pressure reduction measures can be added.
  4. The user should configure a softened water tank, and its volume should be determined according to the usage to meet the water requirements. The soft water tank should have anti-corrosion measures to prevent the soft water from being polluted again.
  5. There is no need to do the installation foundation, it can be installed on the foundation level, and the nearby ground is required to have a sewage channel.
  6. Keep the salt solution to a saturated concentration, and the solid salt should be higher than the salt solution level.​​
  7. After installation, the pipeline should be flushed to prevent impurities from causing blockage and contaminating the resin.
