Pure water preparation scheme of ion exchange equipment
Ion exchange is a separation method based on the exchange between the exchangeable ions on the ion exchanger and the ions in the liquid phase. Synthetic ion exchange resins are widely used as ion exchangers, which are insoluble polymer electrolytes with a network structure and ionizable active groups. According to the different active groups on the resin skeleton, it can be divided into cation exchange resin, anion exchange resin, amphoteric ion exchange resin, chelating resin and redox resin. The resin used for ion exchange separation requires insolubility, a certain degree of cross-linking and swelling, and high exchange capacity and stability.
According to the different properties of exchange groups, ion exchange resins can be divided into cation exchange resins and anion exchange resins.
Cation exchange resins mostly contain acidic groups such as sulfonic acid groups (-SO3H), carboxyl groups (-COOH) or phenol groups (-C6H4OH), and the hydrogen ions in them can be exchanged with metal ions or other cations in the solution. For example, the high polymer of styrene and divinylbenzene is sulfonated to obtain a strong acid cation exchange resin. Its structural formula can be simply expressed as R-SO3H, where R represents the resin matrix, and its exchange principle is 2R-SO3H+Ca2+– –(R-SO3) 2Ca+2H+ This is also the principle of hard water softening.
Anion exchange resins contain basic groups such as quaternary amine groups [-N(CH3)3OH], amine groups (-NH2) or imine groups (-NH2). They can generate OH- ions in water and can exchange with various anions. The exchange principle is R-N(CH3)3OH+Cl—–RN(CH3)3Cl+OH-
Anion and Cation bed equipment:
- Design capacity: 1T/h~200T/h
- Application: Preparation of desalinated water
- Description: When the salt content of the influent is below 500mg/L, ion exchange is generally used to remove salt. The cation exchange resin exchanges with the cations in the water, and the anion exchange resin exchanges with the anions in the water, thereby reducing the salt content in the water. Its effluent water quality is of high purity, with a conductivity of 0.1цs/cm and dissolved solids of 1-4mg/L.
Mixed bed equipment:
- The cation and anion exchange resins are uniformly mixed in a certain proportion to form the resin layer of the exchanger, that is, a mixed bed ion exchanger. Due to the close contact between the cation and anion resins, the mixed bed can be seen as a series of numerous miniature twin-bed desalination systems. The effluent quality of the equipment is of high purity; when the working conditions change, the impact on the effluent quality is small, and the working cycle is long; the impact of intermittent operation on the effluent quality is small; the exchange end point is obvious.
- Design capacity: 1T/h-200T/h
- Application: Preparation of pure water and high-purity water. After the first-stage reverse osmosis product water is treated by mixed bed equipment, the water quality reaches the water quality standard of power plant boiler water.
